Job Description

RocketPop Games is growing our development team in Plano, Texas. We are developing a rich, web-based service that allows a user to create and edit mobile apps within a browser. The mobile apps are not based on HTML5 or Cordova, but the app editor is HTML5/JavaScript. We need an experienced JavaScript developer to help complete our development, bring it to market, then help us design and add more awesome features!  This web application connects to our cloud based Microsoft Azure backend to load, save and publish data to the mobile devices. It interacts with our own web-based services and a variety of others such as Azure Storage, ASP authentication, billing services, and SQL Azure. We are currently in the early alpha stages for the project and we are seeking a motivated, extremely capable engineer to take ownership and help us design and implement the remaining features of the system as well as help us bring the product to full production.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements include: You need to love what you do! You will need excellent knowledge of JavaScript, two years as a professional developer, experience calling a variety of web services and RESTful services, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Lastly you should have good communication and interpersonal skills to express yourself and your ideas to the team.

We cannot sponsor candidates that require a visa.

Optional stuff: Experience with ASP .NET, a useful amount of SQL, interfacing with cloud technologies (storage, worker roles, web roles), Kendo UI experience, MVVM architecture.

About RocketPop Games

We are a small, highly dynamic and loosely structured team with a reputation for a fun, playful work environment. The bottom line for us is to ship great software and great products to the best of our abilities.  While this position is not in a game development group, we all enjoy gaming and bringing ideas such as “gamification” to our products. Bottom line – we want all of our team to enjoy their work, enjoy being part of our team and to help our customers enjoy using our software.

We are looking for a developer to help make both you and our team better!
